On Saturday the 28th of January, Kenilworth Racecourse was home to one of the biggest social events on the Cape Town calendar – The Sun Met, formerly known as The J&B Met.
What is known to be the biggest (and most popular) horse racing event (each year) quickly gets flooded by fashionistas, making the ground of Kenilworth Racecourse their own personal runway to show off their ravishing outfits (some custom made and some bought especially for the occasion).
With this year’s theme being “Decades Of Glamour”, it was bound to be a buffet of fashionably fashionable fashionistas slaying amongst each other. Since I am on the slaying topic, I slayed The Sun Met in a custom made two piece – off the shoulder top and tulle skirt / pants – made by Aidan J. Let us just take a moment to take in how amazing this bottom looks that I am wearing. Who would say that there is a pants under all that mesh.
Let me know what was and who donned your favourite look at this year’s Met.
This was my first time attending The Sun Met and I am definitely making this an annual thing. I am also looking at attending The Queen’s plate next year.
Keeping fashion fluid,
Luke India Ramos.
